
Welcome Ciara Halloran as Ambassador of GDX/IMLSF in South Africa
The GDX – Global Data Exchange and the International MLS Forum (IMLSF) are pleased to announce the appointment of Ciara Halloran, Global Real Estate Advisor, as Ambassador to Africa.
Born in South Africa and based in the United States, Ciara brings a dual-market perspective shaped by leadership within one of the world’s most structured and technologically advanced MLS environments.
Her experience with large-scale MLS governance, standardized data systems, compliance frameworks, and technology integration positions her to contribute meaningfully to marketplace modernization and structured MLS development across African jurisdictions.
Ciara currently serves as Vice President and President-Elect of the Centre County Association of REALTORS® and as Director of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors®. She is a multi-term member of the National Association of REALTORS® Global Business and Alliances Committee and served in 2025 as a Board of Advisory Member for the International MLS Forum.
She is in her second term as Vice President of Global Connections. She also serves as Board Member and Secretary of the AFRICA REAL ESTATE PRACTITIONERS’ ALLIANCE – AREPA.
A Certified International Property Specialist since 2018, Ciara’s professional focus centers on ethical cross-border transactions, transparent listing ecosystems, and responsible PropTech adoption. She is an international speaker on MLS modernization, data governance, and global real estate connectivity.
In her Ambassador capacity, she will:
• Strengthen MLS and data standard awareness across African markets
• Promote cross-border cooperation and global listing exchange
• Connect regional professionals to internationally recognized standards frameworks
• Support the development of structured, transparent, and interoperable real estate ecosystems
Real estate is not merely transactional. It underpins wealth creation, investor confidence, housing stability, and economic mobility across nations.
Advancing standardized data systems, governance alignment, and transparent marketplace infrastructure is essential to strengthening property sectors throughout Africa and positioning them within the global real estate economy.
